L Empire Paris - París

Stayed at L'equipe for three nights over a weekend for my girlfriends birthday, a stones throw from Louvre Rivoli metro station. The hotel upgraded us to an underground room, king size bed, excellent. Wooden floor, cream walls, BBC TV, very quiet considering its location. All the staff speak english, which is always nice I guess. Cool little cocktail bar. Had breakfast just down the road. We did get bitten by mosquioto's though in the room, which you don't expect ... but I guess thats not the hotels fault.

This hotel is well located for the Louvre, shopping, Notre Dame, and the Metro. There was some confusion as I was told breakfast was included and then it showed up on my bill, but over all a nice place.

Ideal location for seeing true Parisian life and blending in with the culture and fun. Near the river, myriad of good food and good wallking area, next to the my favourite area, the Marais for evening fun, food and laughter.

The room was as sophisticated and modern as the pictures on the website suggest, yet very comfortable. We had the Tallyrand Room which had a King bed, desk and small sitting area - plenty of room to spread out. The location was absolutely perfect: one block to the Metro, two blocks to the Louvre and within easy walking distance of the d’Orsay Museum and Notre Dame. Lots of great little restaurants nearby. La Poule au Pot was our favorite.

Location is excellent and service is great. Bed is comfortable.

Trip to Paris was made more pleasant by the choice of Hotel. The Hotel was in walking distance of Pont Neuf, L'Ouvre and many other sights. There are many restaurants in the street nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful and room was very comfortable. Couple of small downsides though. Felt attention to detail in terms of cleanliness was a little lacking for a 4 star Hotel....fluff under the bed, shower didnt drain well. Also, I would have expected a tea / coffee making facility in the room. Whilst saying all this, I would strongly recommend this Hotel for a visit to the city.

Comfortable room, justifiable cost, fabulous location, friendly help. We wanted a comfortable, clean, reliable place to stay and we got that and more. There are many cafes nearby which we loved. Location was great for exploring.

L Empire was definitely not a "chain" hotel and had a very independent feel. It is a small building tucked between other buildings. Our room was well appointed, very spacious and quiet, and they let us check in at about noon the day we arrived, which was wonderful. However, the first room they put us in was not so great. It was right behind the front desk and there was a lot of noise (drilling/banging) that seemed to be right on the other side of the bathroom wall. In this room too, the bathroom was odd - the shower was just a corner of the room, no tub or walls, and the bathroom smelled moldy. We asked to be moved and they did move us to a different room, which was much quieter and also generally just nicer. The location is perfect for almost everything, and for those things that were too far to walk (such as Montmartre, the Arc) the subway was exceptionally easy to use and the stop to the central line was right by the hotel. They gladly held our luggage for us the day we checked out since our train did not leave until later in the day. Electricity is an issue here (as in all of Europe). The front desk has power converters they will lend, but ask early before they run out. It's nearly impossible to find a power converter anywhere else in Paris. There are no plugs available in the bathroom for things like hair irons. Hotel gladly held our luggage for us

L Empire Paris is a small boutique hotel very close to the Louvre. The staff was very helpful, and the hotel and room are tastefully furnished with a modern, minimalist decor. The room was large and comfortable, although the ventilation in the room was lacking, and the shape of the window versus the drapes made opening the window difficult and somewhat impractical. The hotel is in a great location, but one thing to understand is that it is a small hotel, and is not well known to cab and shuttle drivers, so make sure that you have the full address of the hotel for anyone who might be driving. When I was there there was some construction in a store next door that made for some unwanted noise, particularly in the early evening; I expect that won't last long, but it was a factor for my stay. Overall, the hotel is charming, unique, comfortable, and friendly. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend L Empire Paris to anyone needing an upscale hotel near the Louvre.

Great hotel in a great location near the Louvre & metro. Clean, neat, functional, modern. Chocolates at turn-down & comfy beds. Quiet & relaxing, off busy rue du Rivoli. Staff went over-and-above in terms of service, care, and helpfulness. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel staff were great and very helpful! The hotel is about a five minute walk away from the Louvre and about a ten minute walk to Notre Dame. The hotel is very modern and comfortable with rooms smaller than you get in the States, but still large enough to move around in.

The hotel was well located and kept up to date and very clean. There were always staff available and well presented. Comments are: there was construction going on next door which took away from the overall enjoyment but was not the hotels fault. The breakfast was so overpriced for the content that I would suggest that no one waste their money on it. We have stayed in other hotels like this that take pride in the style and forget about how it will affect the overall comfort. Specifically, the showers. The glass shower enclosure and the shower head did not function well and caused water to go everywhere in the bathroom. Others may overlook things like this but I won't be staying in anymore boutique hotels in the future.

we had actually taken a trip to london and decided to take a day trip to paris. we traveled via train and got there early in the morning. the hotel is easily accessible by the metro (which is very easy to understand if you have a map). we couldn't check in because we were there so early, but they let us drop our stuff off while they prepared our room for an early check-in. the staff was very pleasant and guided us to a wonderful bistro where we had breakfast. the louvre is only 1 block away and that is where we spent the rest of the morning. after the museum, we were ready for a nap and our room was ready for us. we were truly shocked as to how large it was. the bed was 2 twins pushed together, but very comfortable. the bathroom was beautiful and quite large. it was even big for american standards, so i'm sure it was huge for european standards. it is very modern and minimalist. not at all parisian (which is what we wanted). everything was just perfect. the breakfast included was also great and we feel very lucky to have found this hotel. if you are looking for a typical parisian hotel with a view, then this is not for you. if you are looking for a well located clean hotel, then this is perfect. try it. you won't be disappointed.

Overall the hotel is amazingly well located, great comfort, but the room 612 on the basement is extremely noise. Also, the hotel lacks of leisure features. Something to the hotel owner/managers to think about it. A

This is a small understated trendy boutique hotel. The location is great between the Louvre and Les Halles right of the Rue de Rivoli. It is very quiet and everything is modern as in air-conditioning, wireless internet, and flat-screen TV. The hotel staff is noticeably young, well-groomed, bilinqual and incredibly nice. I wasn't quite convinced that they were fully experienced. Fairly simple questions as the likely cab fare to De Gaulle -- 52 euros -- was rougly estimated but not with much conviction. Or the best strategy for flagging a cab (other than calling one) seemed like it stumped the staff. No room in Paris is cheap and we opted for a fair price at an incredibly modern and well-located hotel by taking one of the smaller rooms. The king-size bed was great and we were satisfied with just a shower in a slightly small bathroom. We highly recommend for those who are relatively self-sufficient and not in need of a big lobby. Our stay at L'Empire Paris was great! The staff was wonderful and was always more then willing to help us with any questions or advice we needed about the city. The rooms were very clean and comfortable (even the roll away bed). It is a block away from the metro station and about a five minute walk from the Louvre. It's surrounded by cafes and there is an amazing pastry shop around the corner as well as a small grocery store. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and stay there again.

I really liked this hotel. It was close to everything. I arrived with a 2 1/2year old daughter and a 12 year old son. The rooms were great. We walked to every major site there was to look at. This hotel is dead center of it all. I did not have to pay for a taxi at all. I also took the RER to Charles de Gaule airport, which was easy and cheap. The bathrooms and bedrooms were spacious and grand. I will stay here again. All the restruarants around were also great.

Every time I have stayed at this hotel I have had trouble checking in - a room has never been ready. Most of the front desk staff just ducks behind to an office rather than dealing with the fact that people are waiting for rooms. I will look for a different hotel next time. Much of the staff has attitude, which, after 3 stays here has become boring, and surprising for a hotel of this size.

This was my first trip to Paris and since I was a woman traveling alone with no knowledge of French, I was a little anxious. Turns out I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Everyone at the hotel spoke English and were incredibly helpful and friendly. That not only made my stay there pleasant but also gave me a sense of security. The service was excellent, the room was clean and got a lot of light (even though I asked for one in the back to make sure I had some quiet -- there was still plenty of sunshine). Four start amenities -- from the bedding to the turn down service which included gourmet chocolates. Most of all the staff was incredibly helful. When I needed a vase for some flowers that I had picked up at a local (and 100 year old!) flower shop they graciously provided one asap and when I needed my boardng pass printed out it appeared withing 10 minutes. In terms of location, it can't be beat. One block from the Metro, two blocks from the Louvre and within walking distance of Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, St. Germain and d'Orsay museum. Given its proximity to the Siene it was very easy to get oriented and explore adjoining neighborhoods by foot. There are also two excellent bistros right near the hotel. One across the street and a tiny italian place down the block. A drug store, convenience store and fruit/vegetable market are all within a two block radius. Also -- don't pass up the chance to grab a glass of Bordeux, a cheese plate and the molten chocolate cake (to die for!) in the hotel restaurant. I will stay here again on my next trip to Paris.

Great location! Very close to all of the tourist sites. The hotel close to great restaurants in the Latin Quarters. Very clean and the employees treat you very well. The decor is modern and comfortable.

Very nice and central location, modern and comnfortable rooms, welcoming reception, and interesting neighbourhood. Coffee in room service, as well as breakfast is overpriced.

I loved my stay at this hotel. It is within a short walk to the Louvre and is surrounded by great shops and cafes. The staff went above and beyond to help us with every question we had. They were very friendly and spoke English. I had a delux room so it was very spacios, with a huge bathroom and a super deep, full length tub. I was travelling with a friend and he had a smaller room but also luxurious. I look forward to staying there again.

Our initial room was located on the first floor just above the front door to the hotel. The noise through the night was incredible between the traffic, people walking by, and the garbage trucks that seemed to be constantly making a racket. Once we complained we were quickly moved to a quieter room in the back of the hotel. I just cant imagine why the hotel still places people in this room without warning them of the noise. The noise was more than an annoyance- it was deafening! Otherwise (besides the rock hard pillows!) the hotel was overall a good experience.

We had an outstanding stay at L'Empire. The staff was great!! Everyone was very helpful. They assisted us in making advanced plans for our vacation and ensuring we had everything we needed to make the stay a great time. The hotel met all of our expectations - note we reserved a delux room (you get what you pay for) and it was quite large, the king bed was very comfortable, LCD HD TV, and European shower that worked fine! They have wifi internet capability, a nice little sitting room in the lobby area and a quaint bar. Being right next to the Louve was ideal. There are plenty of places to eat and enyoy a nice glass of wine in the neighborhood. The hotel style is minimalist so don't expect antiques and flowery wallpaper. Do expect a really nice stay.

Fantastic, convenient location. Staff was friendly and very helpful (English-speaking). Room was very clean & modern & spacious for a European hotel. This was our first stay in Paris, and we would definitely return to L'Empire. There's an excellent restaurant across the street from the hotel--best meal my husband and I had during our short stay in Paris (Cafe Bailleul, 39 Rue de l'arbre sec).

From the moment you enter this hotel, until you leave, there is nothing but fantastic service, and luxurious rooms. The staff all spoke English very well and they were dedicated to making our stay the best. The location is very close to the Louvre, and there are fantastic restaurants all around it on St. Honore street. The complimentary 24 by 7 by 365 wireless internet was a welcome change from the rest of Europe and my teenager had never been so happy to check in anywhere for that reason. I will stay there every time I go to Paris.

Easy walk to shopping, the metro, the Louvre and to the Latin Quarter. Great bistro across the street.

The hotel is in a great location! The Metro stop is just around the corner (across the street from the Louvre). The entire hotel is very trendy with dark wood and leather trim. The bathroom was very nice. Our room was smaller than American standards but still extremely nice. I did see into a suite that seemed much larger, then again it cost considerably more than what I paid. The flat screen TV was great and the 1000 channels is nice. However, only a few of the channels are in English. The breakfast was very nice, though the dishes are definitely form over function. The staff was exceptionally pleasant. I would stay here again anytime.

Då vi skulle fira vår bröllopsdag hamnade vi på detta lilla snygga hotell några meter från Louvren. Snygg design överallt. Fräscht hotellrum. Och framför allt en riktigt bra frukostbuffé. Tilläggas är att vi är kräsna på denna punkt och blev inte besvikna. Läget är det bästa enligt vår bedömning, nära till allt, shopping runt hörnet och om man önskar köpcentrum ligger Les Halles några hundra meter bort. Kanon bra!

Jag och min man reste på bröllopsresa till Paris. Min vana trogen, letar jag hotell genom "Tripadvisor".....det stämmer alltid. När jagsedan skulle boka, såg jag att L´Empire Paris hade fått lika fina rescensioner här. Ett fantastiskt litet hotell, mitt i smeten.....men ändå avsides. Nära till allt. Rent och snyggt.....jättetrevlig och hjälpsam personal. God frukost. Klart prisvärt! Litet minus för tråkig, draperilös dusch.....och oisolerade fönster. Arbete på huset brevid startade mycket tidigt på morgonen.... Vi skulle dock utan tvekan boka samma hotell om/när vi reser tillbaka.

Aircondition er bare på i sommersesongen (1. mai ->). Hotellet hadde eit svært service-instilt personale. SVÆRT sentralt plassert i Paris.

Hôtel très bien situé. Notre chambre était spacieuse, claire, meublée en style contemporain bien équipée. Aucun bruit. Le personnel est jeune, très sympa. le petit bar est agréable. Un détail pas très important qui va sans doute être réglé prochainement: pas d'accès à Canal+ ni à une chaîne pay per veiw, ce qui est dommage à ce niveau de prestation et de prix.

Bra service og fint rom, men baderommet ødelagte total intrykket mye. Kaldt på gulvet og skitne/svarte fuger.

Endelig et moderne hotell. De fleste av hotellene i Paris har innredning som minner om et gledeshus fra en gammel cowboyfilm. Men L Empire Paris er moderne og rent. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening.Genial plassering for sightseeing.
