This bed is awesome. I'd stay there again just for that. Overall, the hotel is exactly what you need, and nothing you don't. It's not big, but it's comfortable and has some nice touches (iPod dock, Bose surround sound). Front desk staff wasn't anything special, but the concierges were all really sweet and helpful.

We got a great rate, and really liked the appearance, decor and comfort of the bed. TV was fabulous, as was the space. However, the individual HVAC room units were not great, and leaked water on the carpet. It was also noisy and rattled all night. We had to harass hotel staff for clean towels (they took away the dirty ones then told us they had to wash them.) And we only got one set of toiletries for a three night stay. There was no ice machine and we were told it was "inaccessable" to guests but that the bell captain would bring some up. That didn't happen either. The roof deck was phenomenal, as was the view. It was close to Park Slope, and the free parking was nice.

The hotel's location is not ideal. You get the impression that it's right in the midst of a hip neighborhood, but it's not quite. It's on 4th Ave and 5th Ave is where everything is at in Park Slope. One Ave. shouldn't make a difference but the hotel is nestled between a rather large U-Haul facility, a cab dispatcher and repair shop and a few other similar establishments. The room's layout was peculiar, the bathroom is literally open to the sleeping area. There's a frosted glass sliding door between the toilet and the bed... and that's it. The shower has a frosted door, but then is surrounded by two clear glass walls so you're basically showering on display for whomever you're sharing the room with (granted, there is a curtain that can be pulled around the shower, but it was still peculiar). As an added bonus, in addition to all the regular lights, the headboard emitted a blue light, kinda trippy. Yes, the hotel provides complimentary breakfast (and will bring it to your room gratis too), but the actual items offered were sub-par. The front desk was pretty helpful whenever needed, but the elevator was a pain. You need to insert your room key to go anywhere (just our luck, our room keys kept getting demagnetized)and all of the floor buttons are pre-lit (blue light, of course) so it's hard to tell whether your key registered properly and whether your floor light has actually been selected. We were in the elevator more than once with an employee of the hotel, who could tell we were trying to either get to our floor and instead of telling us there's a problem with our card or at least pressing our floor button so one of us could drop off the stuff we'd accumulated, he'd just let us ride up to whatever floor he was going to and then all the way back down. It was frustrating. All in all, it was an experience. Would I stay here again, maybe. It would depend on the price.

I stayed there with my daughter and was a bit put off by the clear glass shower wall and frosted glass for the bathroom. There is a thin curtain to cover the wall for the shower. Luckily there's a balcony that one of us would go on while the other showered. Other than that, it was a nice clean hotel and the staff was very friendly.

We stay in Park Slope b/c family lives there and we want to be close to them when we visit. Hotel Le Bleu was great for the location and the comfort of the room, especially the bed. They will open a restaurant and bar soon which will be a great addition. However, my husband thought using the shower and elevator was like taking an IQ test. Also, our room wasn't vacuumed while we were there which still remains somewhat of a mystery to me!

I used to live a few blocks from where Le Bleu now stands, so I was already familiar with the area. 4th Avenue has come along way in the 7 years since I was last a resident! The hotel exceeded our expectations- the room was small but well furnished and smart on the spacial design. Awesome TV, shower, and bed... My husband & I brought along our 4 month old son, and out of the blue the staff offered us a cradle for him to sleep in. We had brought our own pack-n-play, but had we'd known we would have left the gigantic contraption at home - what a help to parents! The great service continued from there, when we checked out the next morning the staff allowed us to park (for free) until the 3pm check-in, when more hotel customers would be arriving. Oh, the parking is free - a major plus. The mini bar is also free- no alcohol- but loads of water, soda, juices and healthy snacks. I have lots of friends in Brooklyn so we will be visiting often and I am so glad to have found a reasonably priced hotel to stay at each & every time. Wonderful establishment.

Towels that I put on the floor (specifically to be changed) were hung back up, cleaning was spotty at best while I was there. My "free" minibar was not stocked until the last day and the fridge didn't work anyway so it didn't matter. I had made a point to call and request that this was done and it wasn't. Nothing seemed to work quite right. Plus: Free parking, great shower, comfortable best Cons: Staff was unconcerned, things were broken, housekeeping was slack

Our flight to NYC was cancelled and we couldn't leave until the following day. The hotel did not charge us for the missed night, but extended our stay without any extra charge or penalty. The room was spacious and despite others comments, there are frosted glass doors that closed for toileting privacy and a curtain went around the glass shower. I would stay there again.

Customer service is not consistent - while the bell man as very considerate and answered all of our questions, the front desk staff persons were often rude. While the woman who delivered our morning breakfast was lovely, both mornings of our stay, our breakfast was early. Now that may sound lovely, but to be woken up by the front desk calling you at 6am, when you ordered a 9am breakfast (to catch up on much needed sleep) is not acceptable. She further insisted that we had ordered the breakfast that early and staff had been knocking on our door for 15 minutes - I guarantee that if someone was truly knocking we would have heard them. The second moring, they delivered it 30 minutes early when we clearly indicated our time! Room was very clean and bed super comfortable. We booked on line, not on hotel's site, and got a great rate, but the front desk told me that since I had done that, we got the most basic room and I could pay more each night to upgrade. Make sure you don't get a handicap room if you don't need one as the shower water runs all over the bathroom floor- we went thru tons of towels to deal with this issue.

Great hotel, great prices. Limited minibar but you can help yourself for free (rather it's included in the price of the room) but you have to pay for it after it's restocked. DirecTV with all the premium channels, more than makes up for lack of pay-per view. Huge flatscreen, Bose surround speakers with subwoofer and ipod hook up. Perhaps the best staff I've ever encountered at a hotel. Opening of hotel restaurant delayed but delivery menus from a bunch of places in the room, cheaper and way more options for food. My girlfriend kept saying it's how she wants to set up our bedroom at home. We will be returning.

Let me just say that this place is flat beautiful, a rose among thorns. That said, we were told that the breakfast was included and we could take what we wanted out of the fridge, also included. Trouble is, somehow we got done up for $150 in extras after 2 nights. We're trying to find out about it now, but we have no clue what it's for. I tipped generously, too. Also; small thing, the bathroom floor was so cold I thought perhaps it had chiller pipes running underneath. Strange for such a beautiful place. I've never experienced that ever.

My boyfriend and I will be moving to New York City in the upcoming months. We were interested in moving to the Park Slope area and went to check it out this past weekend. We stayed at the Hotel Le Bleu. It was easy to get to both 5th Ave and 7th Ave where most of the restaurants and shops are located. It is also close to the F, R, and M trains. The staff was very nice. I called to get the cross streets from LGA because the cab driver wasn't sure where we were going. The gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful. The same gentleman also printed out a few pages about Park Slope for us and directed us to 5th Ave when we wanted to go exploring. There was no ice machine on our floor (I'm not sure if there was an ice machine on other floors) but when we needed ice we called down to the front desk and someone always came by. The room was nice; however, be comfortable with the person you are staying with. The shower is all glass and is only separated from the main room with a plastic curtain and the door to the toilet is opaque glass. It wasn't the most private bathroom. All in all we had a great a stay.

The room that I was given was apparently a wheelchair accessible room. Therefore, unlike other rooms with a glass shower, mine was simply in the bathroom, which was fine, except there was no shower curtain. The floor was not angled properly and as a result, the shower water went everywhere as soon as the shower was turned on. It was a mess, and made the bathroom mat (which was exceptionally nice) a soggy mess.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Le Bleu. The room was well designed, and the bed and linens were very comfortable. We appreciated the continental breakfast, free parking, and complementary snacks and beverages. The only negatives were the thin walls (such that you can somewhat hear the TV from adjoining rooms), and the heating unit was loud every time it came on (so you had to constantly turn the tv volume up and down). Overall, however, these were minor issues and the overall stay and value was excellent.

This is a good hotel, which is convenient (a short walk) for subway to Manhatten. The hotel provided a guide to the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, including restaurants, and things to do. Don't be put off by 4th Avenue, which is run-down, by walking 1 block to 5th avenue you are in a nice lively street, where you can mix in restaurants with the locals of Brooklyn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice of cereals, bagels, fruit and yogurts.
