Le Frederiksborg - Bruselas

Staff was courteous and even let us check in at 9am after our long flight, since they had an unused room from the night before. Room was clean and fairly comfortable. The stairway to the rooms was a little narrow and steep, but they have an elevator which, although small, does the job. WiFi signals were strong throughout hotel and the speed was pretty good, plus it was free.

This is a no frills hotel that has good value for the money. They are located in a good area of Brussels, and there's a subway station across the adjacent park to get to downtown if you don't want to drive (and you don't want to drive). They have free wi-fi, the food is good and reasonably priced, and they're flexible. For example, we booked two months ahead on hotels.com, but ended up a day early without letting them know. It was noon, but they had a room ready, so the receptionist handed over a key, and a map of Brussels, and that was that. No hassles at all. I had trouble getting my iPod Touch to connect to their wi-fi, and their manager did it for me. Nice.

This is my third trip to this hotel. Each room has been pretty different, and although no frills, is just fine for someone on a budget. Although not centrally located, the metro is close by, at the end of the park across the street. Most recently, we were allowed to check in several hours early and previously I checked out early in a confusion during my tour around Europe, and the hotel refunded the night! One downfall is the lack of brochures, maps for site seeing, so just do some homework first before the trip. Staff too will help with any questions.

This was the cheapest hotel available in the city the day I checked, so my comments need to take that into account. Basically it is a basic hotel. My room was small and lacked character, no picture on the wall, melamine on chipboard furniture, etc. But is was spotlessly clean. There were some slightly dodgy looking people in other rooms but they didn't keep me awake so maybe they were no worse than me! The location has pluses and minuses -- it is next to a pretty park and opposite the giant if foreboding Basilica. However it is a good ten to fifteen minute walk from the metro. There are trams nearby but I didn't have the time to figure where they go. There was a very popular restaurant below (in fact the hotel is a bit of an afterthought to the restaurant). I didn't eat there but it must be OK. However the menu was a bit dull. There is a very good Persian restaurant a few metres away and a Vietnamese restaurant that was closed. Not many stores around though there is a convenience store down the block that sells lots of beer, water etc. Generally I recommend as long as you don't mind a bit of a walk from the metro and a clean but not terribly inspiring room.

Room smaller than average U.S. hotel rooms, however, clean and comfortable. We walked around the neighborhood and felt safe...metro is at the end of the park across the street, about a 10 min walk, which is convenient to access other parts of the city. Staff were pleasant, although not forthcoming about offering information about sight seeing interests, however did answer any questions. I unknowingly checked out a day earlier than what I booked. I was surprised that the hotel didn't mention anything. I was in Paris checking into my next hotel when I found out, and Hotels.com mediated communication with Le Frederiksborg to refund my last night. I was impressed with with Hotels.com as well as Le Frederiksborg for understanding and resolving the situation.

A bit outside the main part of city but fairly easily accessible by metro. Fantastic park across the street as well as cathedral in full view. At the price, Le Frederiksborg is very worth the stay.

This hotel is good, its a little far from the Grand Place (40 min walk), but the walk is very easy, and the hotel is really close to a subway stop. There is a shower and sink in the room, but the toilet is shared by four rooms. There is also a very nice restaurant bar downstairs which is open pretty late. For the money, this hotel is definitely worth it, if you are willing to be a little outside of downtown Brussels

This was a very clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. It is located outside of downtown Brussels, but public transportation made it very easy to get around the city. There are several restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby.

Alt var næsten perfekt. Dog en al for kraftig lugt af cigaretter selv om værelset var erklæret røgfrit. (Der stod dog et askebæger!) Rygerne havde smidt cigaretskodderne i tagrenden. Ellers et meget hyggeligt hotel - god mad.

Chambre petit mais bien agréable. Même malgré la circulation. Belle vue sur la Basilique. Joli parc tout proche.

Le service de reception etait le meilleur. Le monsieur etait tres gentil. Il m'a donne tout les infos necessaires sans hesitation et avec un grand sourire. Je vous conseille a aller a cet hotel si vous voyagez le bruxelles !! ce nest pas cher non plus et c est situe a cote du parc! L'air est tres frech... ;)

Suite à une panne, plus moyen d'ouvrir les portes, et on ne prévient pas les clients qui arrivent. Nous avions demandé un lit double, pas moyen de l'avoir, ou bien avec des WC sur le palier...

Très bon rapport qualité prix, chambre propre , personnel sympa, situé proche parc et metro . Séjours très satisfaisant !

J'ai trouvé la chambre très correcte, la rue est toutefois quelque peu bruyante. L'hotelier est fort sympathique et nous a très gentiment renseigné en français sur ce qu'il y avait à visiter dans Bruxelles

trés bien pour visiter la capitale Belge ,son restaurant a un menu de qualité et la presentation et le service est soigné.J'ai passé un bon sejour et je le conseillerais a des amis.

la chambre est un peu petite mais tres propre. Le quartier est calme mais l'hotel est quand meme a 10 minutes a pied du metro Simonis : il y a une ligne de bus qui fait la liaison mais je ne l'ai pas prise. L'hotel fait aussi restaurant : les plats avaient l'air sympa. Bon accueil.

Chambre assez petite mais qui est suffisante pour un court séjour. Les murs sont trop lègers ce qui pourrait devenir inconvénient avec des voisins bruyants. Situation correct, j'ai eu droit à une chambre qui donne face à la basilique et le quartier est assez calme, loin du bruit du centre ville.

Sehr gut fuer den Preis, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, alles fuktionierte. Da es eine belebte Gegend ist, sollte man mit etwas Strassengeraeuschen schlafen koennen.

Hotel bien situé avec un personnel très sympathique et serviable. Nous étions en moto et ils ont tout fait pour faciliter la vie, tout ça avec beaucoup d'humour. Un seul point négatif : le bruit dans la rue à cause des travaux.

Cet hôtel est agréable et bien situé, à deux pas de la Basilique et à dix minutes du métro à pied. Les chambres sont de bon confort. On peut seulement déplorer le fait que l'établissement soit encore "fumeur" et entraîne quelques nuisances. Le ménage réalisé très tôt le matin empêche de se reposer plus qu'on ne le souhaiterait. L'accueil est de qualité ; le stationnement autour de l'hôtel assez facile. C'est une bonne adresse pour découvrir Bruxelles en étant un peu excentré du centre sans en être trop éloigné cependant. Le parc qui jouxte l'hôtel est très agréable.
