Hotel Bel 3 - Palermo

the hotel is a little hard to get to at first but well worth it. the hotel is well run and the staff is very professional, the breakfast is a very welcomed amenity and the outdoor pools are well kept and clean, also the Internet service is a nice touch. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants comfort and privacy.

I chose this hotel based on the photos I saw and the view it offered of Palermo. The view did live up to expectations, and my boyfriend and I actually enjoyed a very nice dinner on the balcony. However, because it is set in the mountains, it is very hard to difficult to get to. If you do have a GPS or speak Italian for directions, I would not recommend it. Also, the electricity went out a number of times on our floor and the receptionist was not friendly at all in dealing with this issue. The rooms themselves were a bit dated and the shower head was broken. Also there was an odd smell when the air conditioner wasn't on which was most of the time since the electricity wasn't working.

We arrived at 4pm and after checking in we were dying for a coffee/beer and light snacks. There was nothing available till 5.30pm, not even a bottle of water !!!!! The hotel had the athmosphere of a haunted house - there was only 1 guest out on a veranda and 1 staff member at the reception. At 5.30 we found a chef in the kitchen who made us a cup of coffee and he said there would be no food available till 8pm. The hotel quality besides this strange 'food' situation was perfectly comfortable and clean. It is out in the mountainous suburbs and a 25 min drive to centre of the city. Nice hotel with good view of Palermo and the sea and the mountain. Good value for money but you do need a car otherwise the cab cost go up and down the hill probably will be more than what you saved by not staying in the town. Hotels staffs are helpful. Printed out ferry timetable etc for us and gave us some good travel advice from a local point of view. The room is spacios but need a good update. Beds are not very comfortable and the bathrooms are old fashioned. If you stay during the hot season, the pool would be amazing too. Loved the breakfast.

My opion, and no more than that... The signage to find it (once off the 'motorway') were superb. The hotel is, as we wanted, well out of the centre. This means no alternatives within walking distance for eating but: - 1) you cannot have it both ways 2) the hotels restaurant was also excellent value The staff could not have been more helpful I feel.

all rooms in this affordable hotel have a view you will never forget. the swimming pool overlooks all of palermo. amazing. a bit outside the city, and the restaurant is a must miss.

Very modern, and clean. Fantastic views! Very ample and tastie European breakfast free internet in lobby. Personable and attentive staff. But far, far out of town. Rental car would be a must for this place.

this hotel was reasonably priced , clean and comfortable. However really not easy to find. The directions / map on the mail from Hotels.com was vague to say the least. Trying to find it locally was very challenging, some signs but only if you were coming from a particular directions and the locals did not know it or could not explain. so check the route before you go.

We drove from the airport to the hotel in heavy rain which made the journey difficult but once we were off the main road and within a couple of kilometres of the hotel there were yellow direction signs which guided us safely to the hotel - a great help. Booking in couldn't have been easier. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The views from the rooms are spectacular with the whole of Palermo and the bay visible. We had a really good weekend and would use this hotel if we went back. I would suggest that you need a car.

great view;good dining,breakfast aith espresso. may I suggest that you get specific directions before you attempt to find the Bel3. The great view is because it is located way up in the hills. Worth the drive always hard the first time.

Out of the way place in the hills behind Palermo, great views, and really friendly service. Meals tasy and reasonably priced. Would recommend! Make sure you have clear directions if you are driving though - very difficult to find.

Sehr schönes Hotel

Bon emplacement sur les hauteurs à 15 minutes de la ville,piscine et petit bain surplombant la ville ! Les chambres un peu bruyantes ( couloirs carrelés)

Rapport qualité prix excellent. Vue imprenable sur Palerme depuis la chambre. Par contre loin du centre ville. Voiture obligatoire. Possède un restaurant de qualité moyenne.

Utrolig beliggenhet, God service, god mat..:-)

L'hotel est très bien placé (très proche de Palerme), avec une vue incroyable sur la ville et la baie. Mais des chambres très bruyantes (les voisins sont chez vous !) et un service assez basique. Globalement : allez-y pour la vue mais pas pour 10 nuits !

Fint hotel på toppen af Palermo, med fantastisk udsigt over byen fra poolområdet. Hotellets interiør er dog noget outdated - stor altan på alle værelser.

Fikk rom i 7 etasje som viste seg å være den nederste etasjen, uten utsikt. Rommene var svært lite lydtette og gammeldags interiør. Bra utsikt fra de øverste etasjene og hyggelig restaurant. Skulle vært der to netter, men det holdt med en natt.

Vue imprenable sur Palerme. Difficulté d'accès mais la signalisation pour s'y rendre est trés claire. Les chambres sont grandes et trés propres. Les services sont irréprochables voire plus car ils n'ont pas hésité à conduire gracieusement les occupants près d'une station en raison d'un jour férié.

Obwohl die Ausstattung des Hotels auf jeden Fall einer Erneuerung bedarf, sind die ruhige Lage und tolle Aussicht sowie der guenstige Preis (inkl. Parken) dieses Hotels echte Pluspunkte gegenueber den Stadthotels. Das Fruehstueck war fuer italienische Vehaeltnisse sehr gut und auch das hoteleigene Restaurant braucht den Vergleich mit guten Lokalen in der Stadt nicht zu scheuen. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Cet hotel est tres bien du point de vue du calme, du parking, de l'accueil. Toutefois, des progrès au niveau de la décoration, de la qualité de la salle de bain ( douche sans rideau ni paroi et quelques moisissures ) . Pas de chaine française sur la télévision. Petit déjeuner buffet mais avec des produits de qualité moyenne.

Rustig gelegen hotel met ruime kamers en balcon, mooi uitzicht over het drukke Palermo. Wel afgelegen in de berg dus auto echt nodig. Sober (Zuid Europees) ontbijt.

Schönes Hotel am Hang gelegen, alle Zimmer dadurch Aussicht über ganz Palermo. Etwas weg vom Stadtkern dadurch zu empfehlen - Stadt ist sehr laut vergleichbar mit Neapel - Auto wäre empfehlenswert. Bus fährt 400m entfernt vom naheliegendem Tabaci ab. Zimmer, 2Pools, Fitnessraum alles sauber. Eigener Parkplatz, Frühstück typisch ital. einfach, extra Kaffee/Capo gibt es gratis auf Anfrage frisch zum normalen Kaffee. Personal sehr freundlich!!!

Une seule nuit au départ d'un tour de Sicile. L'hôtel est assez éloigné de Palerme (voiture obligatoire) mais bien signalé. Passage en tout début de saison touristique, donc hôtel presque vide. Sans doute plus bruyant lorsque l'hôtel est plein... Chambre honnête, propre, sanitaires en bon état. Le petit déj. est moyen. Personnel ni chaleureux ni malaimable.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden, allerdings sind die Matratzen mit nicht lösbarem Gummibezug ideal für Bettnaesser, allerdings sehr "schwitzig" und demnach nicht zu empfehlen
