Hotel V Frederiksplein - Ámsterdam

The hotel design was fresh and contemporary, the staff friendly, the food pleasant. Unfortunately the noise from trams directly outside made sleep impossible. The trams run til after midnight, and start very early, so there are only a few hours of quiet. I read a review saying noise was a problem, but I'm used to a bit of noise and as a heavy sleeper I wasn't worried. However, the noise really is very bad.

Probably not the way to go if you're traveling with kids or want to experience the gilt, antique-y age of Amsterdam. But the included breakfast is great, the wifi is free, and I found the hotel staff to be super-nice. The decor's a little clubby and over-the-top, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it's all done with tongue-in-cheek. All-in-all, fantastic visit.

The room was a double occupancy with a queen bed and not cheap so we expected standard comforts. The room was so small we had to move our luggage to get around. There was no closet or place to hang clothing. No furniture except the bed and TV and wooden chair next to a built in counter with room for the phone and a pad of paper. We had to live from our suitcases which we had to place on the bed to open. The bathroom was tiny so all personal grooming items had to stay in the luggage. The towels were only changed on the third morning, soap and shampoo never replaced. The floor was rubber? The interior of the hotel was black.... all black. The staff was helpful and friendly but it was too little too late.

Perfect hotel no matter what your reason for travel is. Decor, staff and atmosphere amazing.

très bon hotel, bien placé et silencieux.Chambre propre et confortable, belle déco, et petit déjeuner copieux. J'y retournerai sans hésitation.

Très bien situé, assez "classe", chambre type "XL"avec du charme mais plutôt petite, salle de bains jolie mais minuscule, petit déjeuner copieux et très bon, service et accueil excellent. Par contre, nous étions au 3e étage et les escaliers sont très raides, à déconseiller à des personnes ayant des soucis à se déplacer. Vérifier l'accessibilité avant de réserver. Les photos du site sont le reflet de la réalité. Dans l'entrée, le feu de cheminée, même en été, est très agréable. Rapport qualité/prix correct.

Wer es schwarz mag ist hier richtig. Sehr stylish und modern, Personal durchweg freundlich, Frühstück gut, Verkehrsanbindung hervorragend - und zum Glück schien die Sonne, sonst wäre die dunkle Atmosphäre vielleicht doch ein wenig bedrückend gewesen. Aber würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen.

ho prenotato una camera large all'arrivo ho trovato una small. alla richiesta di speigazioni NULLA! Nel sito era specificato colazione all'americana (mentre la small aveva quella a buffet) ma le omelette le pagavi. Spiegazioni NULLA! ho chiesto l'orario della colazionione mi hanno detto fino alle 11.00 ma si erano dimenticati di dire che durante la settimana è fino alle 10.00!!

Hotel Clean

Die Zimmer lagen im Keller, sind sehr dunkel und waren nicht nur sehr klein, in einem war gar kein Kleiderschrank vorhanden im anderen gab es immerhin eine ca. 50 cm breite Kleiderstange, in beiden Zimmern gab es keine Nachttische, keine Ablagen fuer die Koffer, einfach nichts um etwas abzulegen. Dazu kommt viel Laerm aus dem Innenhof mit Holzbeplankten Gaengen und Treppe. Auch die Bewegungen des Personals an der Rezeption waren in dem darunterliegenden Zimmer leider sehr deutlich zu hoeren. Frueh Morgens war bereits das Putzpersonal im Gang im Keller deutlich zu hoeren.
