Perfect location - close to everything downtown, very helpful staff and clean room. The room was also very modern, comfortable and beautiful. We had a great time!!

The $36 a nite parking fee seemed very steep to me. For the price, there were a few things missing that I have had in hotels that were not nearly as nice. There was no refridgerator in the room and no fan in the bathroom. The bathroom door was on a "weird" slide track that gave no privacy. The shower head had little to no pressure as the water got hotter. There was also no pool and I was told "There is a health club down the street where you can use theirs". Finally, when house keeping came, they took our dirty towels and left us ONE clean one. There were 3 of us in the room.

First a caveat on the recommendation. I would recommend this hotel for travelers who only want a clean place to lay their head. I admit this isn't entirely fair because the location was great. The neighborhood was nice. Chicago is a walkable city but if you had the time you could easily walk the 2-3 miles to get around. Also, the hotel is located close to a CTA (bus) stop and you can easily get your money's worth for a day pass. The day pass can be bought at the 24 hr grocery store located right across the street. Still, despite the nice concept in the hotel and room design, when you went beyond the surface things just kept falling apart. The headboard lights wouldn't work and there is no table lamp nearby. The fancy light switches across from the bed kept falling off. The bathroom door got stuck and we had to take it off- track to let someone out(sliding door). Despite these and other problems the staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean.

Got a room with a balcony on the top floor, so view was very nice. Clean and spacious; the only minor concern was the bathroom door was a sliding door (not a pocket door) so you could see a sliver into the bathroom at certain angles. Also didn't care for hotel parking fees but is to be expected in Chicago I guess. Overall, very satisfied.

The rooms are wonderful! Very clean and comfortable. Someone should say though that the parking is an extra $39.00 a night!!!! This was unexpected and should be considered when you price the room.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway with a few of my girlfriends. The hotel is located in the heart of the west Loop...Greektown is literally a block away (close to a ton of restaurants). Three Chicago nightlife hotspots are also in the area - Market, Bon V, and Theatro. We only used the hotel to get ready and sleep, so it suited our needs perfectly. Three of the lights in the room did not work; one in the bathroom, one over the bed, and one on the wall near the TV. The room had a balcony which was a plus, considering we had a good view of the city.

Walking distance to many resteraunts, Harpo Studio, etc. King room and bath was nice and clean. The bed was a bit hard for our liking. No pillow top. Hotel parking $ 36.00. There is a parking lot directly across the street much cheaper.

First of all I will say most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Bell Captain was great and the front desk staff was top notch. My oldest daughter caught a stomach bug the last night there and I was so relieved when the front desk told me we could stay as late as necessary (9 PM train going home) The concierge left a bit to be desired and was often not at her desk. The hotel was well kept but lacked a lot of the extras you would expect for the price. The biggest thing we would like to have had was an in room refrigerator. There is basically no lobby in this hotel. The front desk, restaurant and conference rooms take up almost the entire first floor. Obviously this hotel was geared toward business travelers but we were there on the weekend. Considering the distance from almost everything that we wanted to see I think the room rate was a bit steep. I could have stayed close to the Magnificent Mile for $30 more a night and would have saved that much on cab fare alone most likely

The rooms were nice! Our drain in the shower didn't work so well, but that was a minor flaw. Beds were comfy, rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice! Very helpful also. I definitely recommend to stay here if you are going to a Cubs game. The number 8 bus takes you straight to Wrigley, it was perfect!

The hotel room was great. The parking fee seemed a little high. The only thing that I noticed about the room was the bathroom door - it was similar to a pocket door and slid but didn't seem like the lock worked very good. The staff seemed very nice and was quick to help with what we needed

The lights that hang over the bed are problematic in their working condition. Sometimes they work, other times not.

The location was decent and the room was up to date and comfortable. I would stay here again but will book further ahead of time to avoid the higher prices of the summer.

this hotel is very conveniently located to Union Station - it is a good walk to Michigan Avenue, but for the price it is worth the stay. It was packed while we were there, and at first we were given a room already occupied. Hotel staff were very quick to correct that situation. Did not try the restaurant, but there were several places to eat around this hotel.

Great location for walking and seeing the sights.

The Crowne Plaza was very neat and clean. The desk staff were all very friendly and polite. Because we booked through hotels.com we didn't receive check out paperwork under our door and had to go to front desk for paperwork.

Our room was beautiful and very clean with a great view of Greek Town and the surrounding city. The hotel staff was extremely accomodating and knew the surrounding area very well. The room service is open late and is a little pricey but the food is good. I highly recommend parking at the hotel. Although the rate is $36.00 a night you can come and go as you please. All you have to do is contact the front desk and they will have the valet pull your car to the front of the hotel and when you come back they park for you. There are Self-Park lots located in the area, however you have to pay every time you come and go which can get very expensive.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The only problem was that the lady at the info. desk gave us some sass!

Overall i enjoyed my stay at the crowne plaza. However the only thing that didnt meet my expectation is that they didnt have a concierge at the desk anytime we needed route and site information. It was a busy weekend and i'm sure people needed assistance or what to do or where to go.

Hotel has no pool of its own; does have agreement with local health club, but the pool is for lane swimming only, not for kids to play in

This hotel is right off of the interstate so there is hardly any downtown driving. The rooms were very nice. The staff was extremely polite. I will stay there again next time.

Enjoyed our stay here. Walking distance to Millineum Park, Sears tower. (several blocks, not a "short" walk). About 7 blocks from Subway station. Clean, soft, amazing sheets. Small room.

Every hotel staff member we came in contact with smiled and was very friendly, even the 6:oo a.m. room service man. We loved the complementary wine and snack from 5:00-6:30 p.m. The hotel is in Greek town and we walked to Pegasus which had awesome Greek food. We could also walk to the Oprah show. The hotel is right off the interstate so you can hear some traffic noises but it makes arrival and departure easy.

right in the heart of greek town. if you like greek food and the greek night life this is the spot to stay.

Staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, loved the bed....very comfortable. Great room for the money. Overall a wonderful and pleasant experience.

Everything was great about this hotel- nice employees, clean rooms, very helpful, room price was fair. There were two main drawbacks of this very nice and very comfortable hotel. Although they are small complaints they should still be addressed. Problem number one was the fact that they did not have continental breakfast. Just about every other hotel that I had looked at, around chicago, offered free breakfast. The second problem I had was with the price that they charged you just to park at their facility. The price was outrageous- $36 a day?!?!?! I understand that the city is tough to park in anyways, but you should not gouge your hotel customers like that. Overall though, this hotel was awesome and I would stay in it again if I went back.

This is my second time staying and, once again, I had a wonderful time and was very pleased with my experience. The environment is very pleasant and near a lot of Chicago's attractions. I'm definitely planning another stay in the very near future!

overall, the hotel was great, staff was friendly, but once I arrived on my floor, the hallway had a foul odor, like a skunk, and it remained that way all weekend...

Only issue is the noise from the highway next to the hotel. Nice clean rooms. Good security for small parking lot for cars. Walking distance (2-3 blocks) to Greektown ... excellent food.

On this last visit I had 2 twin beds. When I removed the covers on one I noticed that the sheets did not look washed. There were lint balls and long hair most likely from the previous occupier. The bed however looked like it was made so definitely some type of oversight here. The other bed was fine however. The light bulb over the clean bed was burnt out but I was too tired to care. Lastly the remote worked that evening albeit sporadically, but did not work in the morning and the TV, at least in my room, did not allow you to operate it manually, go figure :)

Hotel has easy access from I90/94, however because of it's proximity to the freeway, there was significant street noise from the traffic at night. We were located on the exterior wall of the hotel. Perhaps the interior rooms are more sound proofed. The room had earplugs and a CD for relaxation which was nice. Decor was trendy and clean. The bathtub drain had some major issues, but we didn't have time to deal with it. Staff was pleasant, but parking (valet only allowed), was very expensive--no other parking options were given.
