Terrific location. Very clean rooms. Free breakfast is excellent.

The hotel was perfect for our family of four (Mom, Dad, two girls (8 and 6). The room, although small, was cleverly designed, clean and comfortable. The staff was warm, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was satisfactory, but crowded and a bit messy (one more staff member would have helped). The location is excellent -- very close to the Royal Mile, only a two minute walk up a quite walkway with only foot traffic (a "Close", or walkway). Free WiFi in the lobby was very helpful. A bargain for the location, and comfortable.

The hotel was within easy walking distance of all the main sites in Edinburgh. My wife and I stayed here with our two small children and the room size was adequate and the price was right. The only issue we had was the toilet ran occasionally, but it was not bad enough to mention to the hotel staff. The staff was great and let us store our luggage prior to our check in time and even kept it stored for several hours after we checked out and hit some more sites.

This is a hotel that's one year old and it's in a great location (1 street off Royal mile). with a nice breakfast provided with room. Rooms are adequate for 2 people. I have 2 small children and it was extremely TIGHT in the family room. There is NO Parking available at hotel so even if you get a good rate it will cost you 12 pounds a day plus VAT to park. That's with a discount at a certain garage around the corner. Overall it's a wonderful hotel for seeing Edinburgh city center and the Royal Mile.

Very comfortable room, clean and quiet. We were two adults and two children 12 and 14. The kids had a rollout couch which was more functional than comfortable. Good continental breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. As we were not leaving until late evening, the hotel had no prolem hanging on to our bags.

The hotel was nice and clean and just located few yards from the Royal Mile and still have the silentness of living in a suburb. And wth the great location of the hotel we were able to explorer most of the city by foot.

Situé dans une petite rue juste derrière le Royal Mile, l'hôtel est à proximité des principales attractions d'Edimbourg: En 3mn à pied vous êtes au cœur de l'artère principale de la vieille ville(pubs, petits restos, boutiques souvenirs et un super petit magasin indien...). En 10mn vous arrivez au château, au Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre ou à l'Observatoire, en 5 mn au Mary king's close ou aux Mercat Tours. Cet hôtel est parfait si vous êtes là pour le week-end et que vous voulez voir un maximum de choses en peu de temps. Il est proche de tout. Nous avons pris le bus très peu de fois: pour l'aéroport (25mn), pour le zoo (15mn) et pour le jardin botanique (15mn). La chambre est propre et spacieuse, le lit grand et confortable, il y a la clim réglable à volonté, un sèche cheveux et un plateau thé et café à disposition. La douche est bien grande. Le petit déjeuner, servi jusqu'à 10h, est varié (viennoiseries, fruits, céréales, pancakes, toast, yaourts, salade de fruits...mais pas de charcuterie) et à volonté! Nous avons passé un excellent week-end en amoureux et sommes ravis de cet hôtel!

Bra hotell med utmärkt läge i gamla stan. Rummet något litet med tråkig utsikt (bodde på gatuplan). Annars ett prisvärt hotell med jättebra service.

Vi valde hotellet lite i blindo pga det fina läget och priset. Vi blev mycket glatt överraskade över standarden i hotellet. Alla utymmen var mycket fräscha både i rummet och i allmänna utrymmen. Vi fick plats hela familjen (2 vuxna och 2 barn) i ett rum iom att bäddsoffan var utbäddad. Frukosten var god. Läget är mycket bra vid en tvärgata till Royal mile.

Generally, this is a good hotel, not fancy in ant way but a very straightforward hotel which provides the basics. An exellent location in relation to the majority of the sights and shopping of the city. All can easily be reached on foot. We had a family room as we were two adults and a child of six years. The space was a little cramped but okay. We do not spend much time in hotel rooms unless we are sleeping. Missed a closet for clothes and the mattress was very soft on the regular bed and extremely hard on the fold out bed. The breakfast was an exellent buffet with good variety in choices. The staff was proffesional and friendly.

Hotellet har en god beliggenhed, men afstandende er ikke ret store i Edingburgh så stort set alle hoteller ligger centralt, der var pænt rent alle steder, men der bliver ikke skiftet sengetøj på de 4 overnatninger vi havde og der er ikke noget gardarodeskab på værelset. morgenmaden var under all kritik, vi forventede skots morgenmad og der var kun toast brød og cornfleks.

Hôtel très central, très propre, confortable et agréable, calme. Très bon accueil, parking (payant) à proximité. Bagagerie.

Placé en ville, assez proche du centre historique. Chambres très correctes (propres, spacieuses et bien équipées). Continental Breakfest ressemblant plutôt a des banquets (Pain grillé, muffins et pankakes et autres jus de fruits). Ambiance familiale et forte fréquentation en période de congés scolaires. Enfants avec parents "quite possible" dans le canapé. Restaurants et bar jeune avec musique "live" a proximité. Seul in petit bémol pour le restaurant en sous-sol et saturé à l'heure de pointe du breakfest. La rançon du succès!
