Express By Holiday Inn SLOUGH - Slough

I stayed here with my boyfriend (10/9/09) and cannot really fault the hotel. Its a little tricky to get to if you don't know the area but easily seen from the train station. It looks new and modern and is clean and comfortable. Rooms are great with double bed, internet (though I think there may have been a charge for this), large LCD TV, tea and coffee, and the shower room was very nice with free Lux shampoo and shower gel. There was also a separate toilet. Parking is available though maybe they could do with a few more marked spaces. The only downside was the noise from the hallways, the walls may be thin, or maybe we just had very noisy neighbours! The continental breakfast was excellent, with unlimited choice of cereals, toast, pastries, fruit, muffins, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Probably one of the best brekkies I've had! We'll definitely be staying here again, without a doubt.

Reception were incredibly helpful. Car parking is very limited, but if you get a place then don't move your car unless you need to. Best time to arrive is mid afternoon, before the business travellers arrive. Breakfast was a bit crowded, but substantial - nothing hot (except the do-it-yourself toast), but lots of choice although a bit heavy on the carbs. Atmosphere in the hotel is friendly and efficient. If you forget anything, they will supply you with extra toiletries etc.

We paid only 45 pounds for three adults. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff very helpful. The only thing you need to know is if you arrive by train go to platform 6 and you will be right at the hotel. Do not go around as we did.

Rude employees, horrible neighborhood, overcharged bottled water.

Points forts: - L'hôtel ne présente aucun signe de vétusté - Proximité de la gare et du centre ville. - Le personnel de nuit (les hommes) est très serviable. - Parking gratuit - Petit déjeuné inclus dans le prix - Prix convenable pour la qualité de l'hôtel Points Faibles: - Parking trop petit - Les hôtesses d'accueil en journée sont très désagréables avec en tête Fiona (on ne comprend pas pourquoi elle a choisi l'hôtellerie comme métier). Anna ne sait même pas dire bonjour ni sourire même en mentant dans l'ascenseur. - Machine en panne lors du petit déjeuner, impossible d'avoir du chocolat chaud de tout le séjour. - Internet semble être limité, impossible d'accéder aux messageries privée comme Yahoo ou Hotmail
