Mount Pleasant Apartments - Liverpool

The 24-hour lobby personnel consisted of a phone number tacked to the outside wall of the building with a phone number listed. Of course, in the pouring rain we didn't exactly look for something like that. Took 15 minutes to find another guest to tell us about it. The phone rang for no less than 20 minutes before someone answered and gave us a code number to key into a lock box to get our room key. When we finally got to the room it had not been cleaned from the previous tenant. Dirty towels, unmade beds, a bag of dirty clothing. Back down to the lobby, another 20 minutes ring session before the phone is answered and a new room assigned. At least the new room was clean. However, the washer/dryer was a combination unit and did not work properly. Don't count on using it, as we did. The units had great potential...but this place seems to be run by 10 year old boys.

Three of us were sharing an apartment and we discovered that the shower wasn't working. We asked about getting a repair man out but was told 'If it was me, I'd just have a bath.' Whilst being informed no maintenance man was available (I'm sure there would have been for a flood). So for our entire stay it was baths only but only enough hot water for a couple a day, not enough for three people. They said a 'manager' would take and look, never did, and the 'manager' wasn't around at check-out. Got the impression they couldn't be bothered and had no intention of fixing it, dare say it's still broken now!

go to liverpool a few times per year, Usually stay in the marriott but as there was 3 adults its not easy to find somewhere reasonabaly prices. very pleased with the apartments. my only complaint was that they had nowhere to hold our luggage as our flight was not til late that night and we had to check out at 11am. they said we could go to their other accomadation place to leave our bags and we had to get a taxi.

This is the best apartment we have been in, very spacious and all furniture and whitegoods in new condition. The only two issues we would complain about was the rubber tiles were lifting in the bathroom, and the ease of finding the apartments as parking and registering was a problem. I would suggest staying here, but make sure you ring before you get there and get all the details for the different codes to get in the building and the letter box with the key as well as the location of the security parking and how to get into it.

You are best reserving parking as spaces are limited. Lady on reception was lovely, very helpful. we were upgraded to a two bedroom which was brilliant. Admittedly the apartment was a little tired but this was well compensated for by the space and kitchen facilities. The Tesco Extra shop downstairs is a great bonus. There were times when there was not always someone at reception and you had to phone another number but for us everything was fine. Would definitely use these apartments again.

no indication of self check in. staff less than helpful. turned up for check in @ 14:30pm and the room was still being cleaned and we were asked to come back in 1 hour. There were only 3 forks but there were 4 people staying. no tv wires. Shower didn't work and boiler was useless. 24 hr reception in description but that was a lie. The beds were comfy and the living area was comfortable. Cheap but not cheerful.

The quality of the apartment was much better than I expected, it was modern and spacious and accomodated us very well. It was the perfect way to arrive into liverpool and wind-down in style. The tesco right downstairs meant we could get some food and enjoy eating it comfortably looking out over the balcony at the view. Because there was a few of us, it was much better than your conventional hotel, apartahotels are the way forward!

Will not be going back to Mount Pleasant again was over on business and when i booked it said internet access but it did not work.The blinds in the apt were in tatters .Over all i lost out an a lot of work as i had to go out to get access to the internet

I was slightly nervous on arriving, following reading some of the reviews regarding cleanliness and noise. Those reviews could not have been further from the truth for me. I arrived and the check-in process was efficient and uncomplicated. My apartment was on the 3rd floor, a one bedroom flat with a lovely kitchen - living room area and balcony. It was spotless, and very tastefully decorated, with plenty of towels and kitchen facilities. I had no problems with noise at all, and was able to spend a very pleasant week there, during a very stressful work conference. It definitely made the whole week much more manageable and it was a relief to come back to the haven of the apartment. Espcially convenient as it was above Tescos, so no problem with buying dinner. I would highly recommend this apartment block for anyone visiting Liverpool, 5 minutes from Lime St Station, incredible value for money, and overall a very nice enviroment to stay. Will recommend it to all friends and colleagues without hesitation.

The hotel was good but the kitchen could have been cleaner didn't feel i was able to use it untill i cleaned it. Gtreat car park. The noise level from other guests was rather loud and every night we were woken up by guests going back to there rooms not so good when you have kids with you and they are trying to sleep. The reception has only someone on at the weekends so you are left to to check out by yourself. If you have a problam then i had no idea of where to get help( we had no hot water one afternoon and only after having to check the timer the clock was not set at the right time so i had to reset it to allow us to get hot water in the afternoon. Yes i would still come back to it as we were not in it much it was really just some where to sleep.

The apartment was really good. Very spacious, clean and tidy, it has all you need, the kitchen was in perfect conditions, bathroom as well. The rooms clean and tidy. the location is perfect. It has self check in and out which i find really good. I would 100% recomend it

location was perfect it was right in middle of town.the only fault i had was that there was not anyone at reception at all times but i was informed of that before i got there and if you got locked out you only had to ring there other hotel up the road to get code for front door . the rooms had everything required and all mod cons in kitchen so you could shop in tesco next door and cook if you wanted to.We were on top floor and the first night it sounded like birds walking on roof and it hard to sleep but second night was fine.

Very much enjoyed our stay. The apartments are big and very well equiped. You could sleep 6 quite easy. 5 minute walk to all the main bars. very good value and They offer safe parking.

There was no reception and it is very difficult to connect them by phone. The room and apartment is not bad compared to the price.

place needs repainting and a better induction to the apartment.

The check-in procedure is a somewhat bizarre, conducted by phone, so is very difficult for those who have limited English and/or no mobile phone. However, once we eventually managed to retrieve the key to the apartment, we were pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness and also by how well-equipped it was. We would have benefited from some instructions for the TV (couldn't get the terrestrial channels!), and also for the dish washer. Wi-fi didn't work for the whole time we were there. Beds were comfortable, and the double-glazing kept out what little noise there was from the nearby street. Having the Tesco Metro store on the ground floor was a real bonus, and the apartments were ideally placed to visit a wide variety of Liverpool's many attractions. Would certainly recommend the apartments as a value-for-money base in which to stay, but the check-in procedure has to to improved!

Whilst the apartments themselves were reasonably clean the noise from other guests and the cleaner has put me off returning. We woken up every morning my the cleaner slamming the doors of the apartments she was cleaning - olbviously not happy with her job! A group on 'lads' arrived on the Fri and the noise they were making forced us to check out early. When mentioned to Reception there was no asisstance offered or an apology, in fact he was pretty useless. The apartment was to be part of a birthday surprise but to be honest we would have been better staying at home.

The fact that this was a flat made it more comfortable than the average hotel room, and it represented good value for money. It could have been cleaner (though I understand there were staff shortages) and the provision of the flat could have been better thought out - lamps in the living room perhaps, and a corkscrew. Otherwise it was fine and I'd go back. It was very well positioned in the centre of town.

Woudl definitely go back to the apartments, very spacious and clean. Only a short walk to the centre and nightlife.

The hotel was everything we had expected, the only thjing that let it down was the rudeness of the receptionist on checking in

Travelled over to see Liverpool with my son and a friend and his son. We had problems finding a hotel with a couple of double beds at a decent price. I came across the apartments and thought it was too good to be true at the price. However, it was a very nice surpirse as the apartments were excellent with two double rooms, a big sitting room with a couch that converted to a bed, a kitchen with all mod cons. Brilliant location close to Lime Street train station and city centre shops. Will definitely use this from now on.

The Mount Pleasant Apartments are fab! They are just down the road from the Adelphi and Quiggins Shopping Centre (Perfect Location to stay). The rooms were clean- apart from where the knives and forks were kept, they were a little dirty and there were crumbs left in there from a previous visit. There were enough plates/cups for 4 people, and soap/washing up liquid was provided. TV with DVD was very handy too! It was a very comfortable and affordable place to stay. Had a great time, and would go back!

stayed at these apartments for 3 nights, great weekend, great location. Central for all shops and pubs, will definately be booking again

We booked these apartments so that we could be near the city centre and to be close by to Liverpool Football Club. When we arrived we were amazed at how close we were actually to the city centre and also how easy it was to access the apartments, a short walk from the bus stop and we were at the apartments. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist. On arriving in to the room we were amazed at the size of the room it had two single beds and a double room along side a generous size bathroom and lounge with dining room and good size living room. It was very handy having the tesco's express below us as well as it was open from 6am to 11pm and had everything we needed. Overall we had an excellent stay in these gorgeous apartments and would def want to stay in them again. They are very friendly family as well and we had no problems with noise or any other guests.

Fantastic location, great value for the size and convenience. Unfortunately, the trash had not been taken out from the last occupant when we arrived. We let the receptionist know as we left for a few hours, but it was not taken care of when we got back. We also found that the DVD player did not work on our tv at around midnight. The receptionist offered to move us to another apartment in the morning, but we decided it wasn't worth the effort. Also, the shower turns cold within 5-10 minutes if you do not hit the boost button on the heater in the closet (who would have guessed). We were very happy witht the layout, the free wi-fi and the kitchen. Also there is a Tesco Metro right under the apartments which is open till 11 during the week (very convenient). Overall, we were comfortable except for a few of the above mentioned mishaps, but still worth the money for the location.

When we got into our Apartment, one of the windows wouldn't close properly in the lounge and we were immediately upgraded to a beautiful two floor, two bedroom apartment. The rooms and the hotel were spotlessly clean. The afternoon Hotel Receptionist and cleaning Staff were very polite, very helpful and always had a friendly hello as you walked past. Will definitely be returning.

Advantages: Centrally Located Pleasant Helpful Staff Large Clean Rooms Very comfortable sofa and beds Excellent kitchen facilities Only small disadvantage some marks (not big ones) on two walls and no shampoo. I would definitely stay there again well worth the money.

Perfect apartment. Very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Ideal for my business stay, only regret is that I didn't get to spend longer in the room.

the apartment was very nice and spacious. Very quiet at night and well positioned for all the tourist stuff in liverpool. 24 hr Tescos downstairs was a great help as well. The only downside was that our apartment wasn't very clean. Bed linen and towels were fresh but the kitchen and bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly from the previous tenant. We were only there for two nights so we didn't make a fuss, but as the flats are so nice and new it was a shame that something as basic as cleanliness is neglected. If we were staying longer I would have asked for a different apartment or a cleaner to be sent along.

This is a new aprtment and very, very good. Family very happy.

Highly reccomend.

never stayed in serviced appartments before but will definately do it again, only hope they're all as good as Mount Pleasant! well equipped and modern, great location to see the sights of Liverpool

What a find! The Mount Pleasant apartment was not only fantastic value for money but in a superb location close to local ammenities and attractions. The service was excellent and very friendly and the apartment extremely clean and high spec. It was a shame we were only there for a short stay!

Spacious, well furnished apartments which offer an excellent alternative to a hotel. The people at check in were very friendly and upgraded both of us. Would definitely stay again.

These are new bright clean appartments close to the centre of Liverpool Public Transport on the Doorsteps. Only Basic service from the desk but it was friendly. It was an appartment not a hotel so this was expected. Price is very resonable. Ideal for a family of upto five.

Came to Liverpool to do a concert and night out with daughter......these apartments are ideal and in a very good location..........aprox 5 mins walk from lime street rail station...........will be even better soon a tescos is being built next door so those of you that are staying longer will soon be able to get all your supplies right on the doorstep!!!!

Apartment large enough to accomodate two adults and two growing boys! I rated cleanliness as 'four' because I had to clean the oven grill pan before I could cook pizza for my family - cleaners oversight? Ideally located for city centre attractions/shopping & close to a Hop On - Hop Off bus stop (tickets valid for twenty four hour use). Would love to visit Liverpool again.

The staff are reception were very helpful. Apartment wasd tidy, but living room area could have been better. Hotel was situated close to lime st and main city centre. I enjoyed my stay at the apartment and more than likely would re-book.

i am a regular visiter to liverpool & on my recent visit i stayed in the new mount pleasent appartments with my brother & both our girl friends. on arrival we were all very impressed with the very morden, well decorated appartment & with all your needs & mod cons in the appartment it was like a home from home. with the city centre on your door step it was another brillent weekend in liverpool!

Excellent BRAND new...we felt we were the first to stay there. It was so clean and well equipped, we felt POSH!!

Vi bodde i en fräsch, nyrenoverad lägenhet med 2 sovrum, vardagsrum, kök, badrum, med god standard och gott om utrymme. Rekommenderas.

Generösa utrymmen men ostädat badrum med ingrodd smuts. Mycket lyhört från korridoren. Frukostvoucherna vi fick vägrade restaurangen att lösa in pga av att de inte fick betalt av hotellet så frukost fick man betala själv. Inte fanns det någon i receptionen på dagtid som kunde styra upp det hela. Nattportier fanns dock men han kunde förståss inte ordna något med frukosten. Egentligen ett bra "hotrell" men mycket dåligt skött.

Et greit leilighetshotell, sentralt plassert med gåavstand til shopping, museer og restauranter.Veldig greit med Tesco i grunnetasjen. Var skuffet over en del ting: -Vi måtte ringe for å få instruksjoner for å få åpnet nøkkelboksen i resepsjonen, som var ubetjent, ikke betjent som det stod i hotellbeskrivelsen. - Vi hadde bestilt til 5 personer, men måtte ringe for å få håndkler (var bare til 2 personer) -Vi måtte også ringe for å få sengetøy til sovesofaen i stua. -Hårtørrer måtte vi også bestille over telefon. Alle disse telefonene måtte vi ta fra egen mobil!!! Når det er sagt, var det rask og grei reaksjon når vi tok kontakt. Det var en del støy i området, blant annet med heftig partyaktivitet rett over gata. Det var greit med vinduene igjen, men vanskelig å sove med vindu åpent.

très bien placé, excellente solution pour une famille mais l'accueil est à améliorer. Pas d'information écrite sur les services rattachés à l'appartement, et réception insaississable ( un numéro de tél est joignable 24/24 mais il faudra se munir de votre meilleur anglais). Ce n'est pas un hotel: le ménage n'est fait qu'au bout d'une semaine, les lits ne sont pas faits, pas de petit déjeuner,c'est à vous de demander le remplacement des serviettes etc.. J'y retournerai cependant car l'emplacement est idéal. De plus un supermarché est situé dans l'immeuble pour vous permettre d'échapper à la cuisine anglaise. Car vous disposez d'une cuisine toute équipée: machine à laver la vaisselle, four, plaque, micro-ondes.

En jättefin lägenhet med både diskmaskin och tvättmaskin. Fina sköna möbler och stor rymlig lägenhet.Även extrasängen var skön. Lägenheten kändes lyxig.Men det var lite krångligt vid incheckningen, för då måste man ringa ett nummer och få en kod för att få tillgång till rumsnyckel. Sedan stod det att det skulle finnas hårtork , men icke. Mot en depositionsavgift på 20 pund kunde man låna en i receptionen - som skulle va bemannad 24h/dygnet - som BARA var bemannad vid UTcheckning
