Express By Holiday Inn Cardiff Airport' - Somerset

My family and I stayed at the Express by Holiday Inn, Cardiff Airport as we were attending a family wedding in Cardiff. Our stay was comfortable, the room was spacious and clean and adequate for our family of four. We enjoyed the breakfast and if in the area again would definitely use this hotel.

The hotel seems quite new and clean! The location itself is nice and quiet, about 30 minutes drive away from Cardiff Centre, even when a plane is taking off/landing (since it's near Cardiff Int. Airport). There's a nice little bar which doubles as the reception area, which features a breakfast bar in the morning and has Sky TV and a Pool Table. The room was pretty well presented and clean - there's a good number of smoking rooms, en-suite toilet/shower, and a TV with roughly 20 channels and allows you to access Films, the Internet and Emails. There is also an ethernet cable attached to the TV so you can plug your laptop in for Internet Access. The hotel's ideal if you're visiting Cardiff, the area surrounding it, or getting a flight to/from the airport.

Unfortunately this hotel was too far out of Cardiff for our benefit, and so there were no surrounding shops or restaraunts. But there were no problems with the hotel itself. Parking was difficult if you arrived late at night.

the Holiday Inn was excellent. Ideal for the airport or visiting Cardiff. Parking can be an issue, as there isn't enough when full. There also could be more tables for breakfast as we were there when quite full and finding a table in the morning to eat your breakfast is not good for first thing in the morning. The Holiday Inn staff were pleasanr and helpfull. The rooms are spotless. Well worth staying.

Located at Cradiff airport. It takes a good 30 mins to get to cardiff city maybe more in bad traffic. Hotel was nice. Rooms were spacious and service was good with a decent contenental breakfast.

Booked the hotel for myself and my teenage daughters and meeting a friend there. We were really impressed with what standard the hotel was. It was impecably clean and our room was pleanty big enough for the 3 of us. Was hard to belive that we were situated next to the airport - never heard a sound - fab for a good nights sleep. Would use again and recommend. Would eat out as the menu was very basic and quite expensive.Thanks

most impressed by the young man on reception who was very helpfull and courtious. Any staff that I interacted with were friendly and cheerful. Proximity to the airport and the use of the courtesy bus was also a plus for us. The hotel is good value for money

Very clean practical hotel but over 10 miles from the City (so not central). Despite being on the Cardiff Aitport flightpath the rooms were imune from any aircraft noise. All in all - a good "short stay" airport -although the friday night bar staff didn't know queue management (leaving us waiting ages for a well deserved drink after our 4 hour drive!!)

11 miles from the centre of Cardiff, incompetant staff, TV not working, unimpressive breakfast, very basic room, soft bed, smoke alarm continuously made noise, door card did not operate correctly. On the saturday night of our stay, Cardiff city taxis were trying to charge us 45 pounds to get to hotel, normal price is approximately 25 pounds. A very disappointing stay.

The room really let the hotel down. The bed was like laying on a jelly, but still it was rather firm. The fold down sofa bed was very uncomfortable with hard and soft areas. The TV remote system malfunctioned, so I pulled out the plug and performed a reset of the router. The deadlock on the room door was jammed. The bathroom door had a bodged patch in it where a foot sized hole had been repaired. There were blood stains on the sheets. Sound proofing from aircraft was good, but noise was intrusive from other rooms and noisy people in the corridor at 2am-obviously arriving /leaving from the adjacent airport. Temperature control was difficult to set up and led to an overheated room. This was difficult to cool down quickly as the windows do not open. Breakfast was continental and pretty good. The evening meal was such a limited choice that we chose from one of the several take away menus left on the reception desk. The delivery took 30 minutes and the helpful receptionist provided us with plates and cutlery.

Bra service med transfer till flygplatsen, god frukost, trevlig personal rent och snyggt. Hade varit bra med två täcken i dubbelsängen!

pratique car tout proche de l'aéroport, possibilité d'y aller à pied. Les chambres sont grandes, confortables et propres. Grand parking devant l'hotel. Pas bruyant, enfin bref, un bon rapport qualité prix.
