Location.The Hotel Homs is a five-storey boutique hotel housed in a typically Italian building in the centre of historic Rome, 100 metres from the Spanish Steps and 200 metres from the Trevi Fountain. The Pantheon is 300 metres from the hotel and Villa Borghese is 400 metres away. Rome Fiumicino Airport is 30 kilometres distance, an approximate driving time of 40 minutes.
Hotel Features.Concierge services, including tour assistance, are available at the 24-hour front desk which features multilingual staff, and the air- conditioned public areas offer wireless Internet access (surcharge). Complimentary newspapers and magazines are available in the lobby, and other practical amenities include a dry cleaning service, laundry facilities, a limo service, and babysitting and childcare by arrangement.

The Vudabar serves Mediterranean cuisine with an extensive Italian wine list and coffees in a contemporary setting.

Guestrooms.The 52 guestrooms, over five floors, have light decor, coordinated fabrics, fitted carpets and traditional furnishings. All are equipped with satellite television, direct-dial phones, Internet connections (surcharge), climate control, minibars and safes. Bathrooms have complimentary toiletries, telephones and hair dryers.

Expert Tip.Pay a visit to the six-square kilometre Villa Borghese Park, which includes the Giardino del Lago (garden of the lake) and the Tempietto Greco (Greek temple), as well as the Borghese Gallery set in a 17th- century villa.

Renovation Notice:
The hotel is currently carrying out construction work which involves some of the façade being covered in scaffolding. This work is anticipated to last until the end of 2007. Please contact the hotel directly for further information.

Ubicación

Getting there. There is an express train service every 30 minutes to Rome s Termini train station (journey time 30 minutes). From there, take the subway to Spagna station, which is 200 metres from the hotel. Taxis are readily available at the airport, but take a licensed metered taxi only. An airport surcharge is payable, and a taxi to the hotel will cost around 50 EUR. Rome's efficient integrated transportation system includes buses, trams, subway (Metro) and suburban trains. Tickets should be bought before boarding and are available from ATAC ticket machines and all tobacconists. A single ticket (BIT) costs 1 EUR, is valid for 75 minutes, and covers unlimited bus journeys and one metro trip. The historic city centre is easily negotiated on foot. Driving is not recommended for visitors.
